Exploring “PIUM” – A guided tour of Borgholzhausen in English (A2/B1)

Starting out from the “Pium Patt” – a virtual tour of Borgholzhausen originally initiated by the Borgholzhauser Heimatverein – we will make our way through the historic center of the town and look for traces of the past and its effects on the present. We will find out what a “Kiepenkerl” is, why Borgholzhausen has an American twin town, how many schools and churches the town has had in past and present, and what started the tradition of the honey cake bakers. We will end our tour at the Heimatmuseum with some snacks and drinks, while following up with a little quiz.
